The Lamborghini Gallardo LP560-4 is the successor of the most successful Lamborghini model of all time. And on the edge of the racing action, the Super Trofeo Village hospitality venue will be available. The factory will enter one car for itself, and plans to commission well-known guest drivers to take the wheel. Lamborghini is building 30 cars for the Super Trofeo, which they are making available to individual enthusiasts, as well as to Lamborghini dealer teams. From May the Super Trofeo will make guest appearances at six race events - at Silverstone (UK), on the Adria Raceway (Italy), on the Norisring (Germany), in Spa (Belgium), in Barcelona (Spain) and in Monza (Italy).

And it is Lamborghini's clear objective to ensure that it will be the fastest single-brand series in the world - partly due to the technical superiority of the all-wheel drive principle. The Super Trofeo is the only one-make series in the motorsport world to feature cars with all-wheel drive. To participate, the factory is offering its customers an exclusive sports machine - the Lamborghini Gallardo LP560-4 Super Trofeo with 419 kW (570 hp), a reworked chassis and significantly reduced weight. By the end of October, it will have completed 18 races on famous European circuits, supporting popular series like the Deutsche Tourenwagen-Meisterschaft (DTM), the FIA GT Series and the FIA World Touring Car Championship (WTCC). In May 2009, the Lamborghini Blancpain Super Trofeo takes to the track with its first race.

From early on, it was evident that the young Balboni had a special feel for cars, that most sensitive of all instincts that connects to the 'life blood' of an automobile and defines the soul of a test driver. Automobili Lamborghini now presents a model in his honour and bearing his name - the Lamborghini Gallardo LP550-2 Valentino Balboni. He has long been revered as one of the many legends surrounding the world's most uncompromising sports car brand - Valentino Balboni, a remarkable test driver with his own personal cult status.

Interior features echo the car's striking grey-and-orange exterior: besides the orange touches, there is an asymmetric dash design, with black Alcantara Nera on the driver's side, including door panel and central tunnel, and black leather Nero Perseus on the passenger's side. The car features orange brake calipers and a transparent V12-engine cover, which shows off the V12 engine behind the driver. The LP 650-4 logo applied to the car's exterior is recognition of the car's increased power. The special edition model will be produced in a limited volume (50 units only), with a Grigio Telesto exterior that combines grey bodywork with a special bright orange Arancio LP 650-4 featured on the front spoiler and sills.

The top speed is around 330 Km/h (205mph). With 660 Nm of torque, top performance is at 0-100km/h (0-62mph) in 3.4 seconds. The Roadster version of the Murciélago will offer an uprated 6.5 litre V12 engine that produces 650 hp (478 kW) along with permanent four-wheel drive: hence the model's LP 650-4 moniker. Lamborghini has been at the forefront in this material's application for many years, and now the brand is extending its leadership even further. The car's performance is thus enhanced thanks to a better weight-to-power ratio and reduced total mass, which means that CO2 emissions are also lower. Carbon-fiber is ideal for the manufacture of sportscars as its use allows for weight reduction and improved mechanical features.

One key factor is the exterior and interior components made from carbon-fiber. The super sportscar from Sant'Agata Bolognese boasts a dry weight of no more than 1340 kilograms (2954 lb) - the lightest road-going model in Lamborghini's range, and a new arrival in one of the most exclusive market niche segments. Compared with the already lean Gallardo LP560-4, the weight of the Lamborghini Gallardo LP570-4 Superleggera has been trimmed by 70 kilograms (154 lb). The Superleggera makes its entrance to continue the success of its predecessor, launched in 2007, of which Lamborghini produced and sold no less than 618 in just one year.

Its evocative "superlight" badge refers to a driving machine of true sporting character and describes a high-performance and lean automotive athlete. Even more dynamic, lighter, more powerful and stunning - the Lamborghini Gallardo LP570-4 Superleggera is the new top model in the Gallardo line-up.

BF-performance Lamborghini Gallardo GT600 Sports Car

The Lamborghini specialist has already gained experience with the predecessor model and now brings The entire automobile confirms the perfection and passion for detail applied by BF-performance. BF-performance offers the entire car with all components either as the sporty Coupé GT600 or also as the Roadster GT600 Spyder. The customer can even opt for carbon in his favourite colour.

The manufactory uses carbon on the steering wheel, door handles, ventilation grids and even at the switch casings. BF-performance visually adjusts the interior to the increased dynamics. Apart from the sports bucket seats, BF-performance also offers five-point belts, a roll-over cage and a carbon-ceramic braking system with which the GT600 meets the highest racing standards. The interior also follows this dynamic maxim. On the Sachsenring round course, the GT600 even managed to beat the stronger Lamborghini Murciélago LP640-4 SV by an impressive lead of 0.6 seconds.

BF-performance has confirmed the performance of the new automobile in an impressive race. And of course the engineers also focused on the engine performance. Due to the refinement by BF-performance, also the GT600 with a V10 engine can be equipped with doors which are so typical for Lamborghini. The wing doors render a significant amount of individuality, but are strictly limited to Lamborghini models with twelve-cylinder engines. The rear wing, which provides a significant improvement in downforce over the rear axle, is actually quite fetching and it suits the lines of the car very well indeed.

The BF-perfomance GT600 gets a new front bumper - which is similar in style to the original car's, wider race-inspired sideskirts, and a rather obvious fixed rear spoiler. The new body panels, marked out by the fact they're finished in clearcoated carbon fiber, are all situated around the bottom of the car. In total the other modifications have also rendered a weight reduction of 43 kgs (95 lbs) which further improves performance. Most significant is the option for a RWD only configuration - just like on the Gallardo LP550-2 Balboni edition. Not content with just making some pretty bits to stick onto the Gallardo LP560-4, the engineers at BF-performance also developed a number of performance enhancements and modification options for the drivetrain.

And in the process they've also renamed it the GT600. Swiss tuning firm BF-performance, based in the wonderfully named city of Zug, have developed a comprehensive modification package for the Lamborghini Gallardo LP560-4. Therefore, they turn both the Coupé and also the Spyder into the GT600 which has a stronger performance, more self-confidence and looks more aggressive. For them, the Gallardo is too innocent and neither dynamic nor individual enough.

While Lamborghini is satisfied with the Gallardo LP560-4, the Swiss have higher demands – at least the engineers at BF-performance. In the Swiss city Zug, perfection has a different meaning than in the Italian town Sant’Agata Bolognese.
